Trying Selfless by Hyram for a Month: My Honest Thoughts

If you're a skincare enthusiast, you may have come across Selfless by Hyram, a skincare line that has been gaining a ton of attention in the beauty industry. Hyram Yarbro, a popular skincare influencer, launched this brand with the mission to create affordable, effective, and sustainable skincare products. 

As a self-proclaimed skincare addict, I couldn't resist trying out the entire Selfless by Hyram skincare line for a month to see if the products lived up to the hype. Here are my honest thoughts on each product.

Centella & Green Tea Hydrating Gel Cleanser

Starting with the Centella & Green Tea Hydrating Gel Cleanser, I found it to be a decent product that didn't strip the skin as it was gentle on the skin, perfect for someone with dry or normal skin. However, as someone with oily skin, it did not feel like it did much because it is way too gentle. So if you are someone with oily skin, you can save your money on this product. Another thing that I will point out is the packaging, as the cleanser leaks out of it which I hope the Selfless by Hyram team could improve on.

Niacinamide & Maracujá Daily Barrier Support Moisturizer

The Niacinamide & Maracujá Daily Barrier Support Moisturizer was hands down my favorite product from the entire Selfless by Hyram line. The moisturizer is lightweight, absorbs quickly into the skin, and doesn't leave any sticky or greasy feeling. As someone with oily skin, I didn't feel uncomfortable using it. The product helps with redness, soothes, and slightly brightens the skin, which I loved. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a moisturizer that is hydrating and brightening.

Peptide Q10 & Ginger Daily Defense Antioxidant Serum

The Peptide Q10 & Ginger Daily Defense Antioxidant Serum is a great option for anyone looking for a lightweight serum that brightens the skin. It's not greasy or sticky after application and didn't clog my pores. It's an excellent addition to your skincare routine, and I would totally recommend it.

Retinol & Rainbow Algae Repair Serum

The Retinol & Rainbow Algae Repair Serum is a great option for anyone looking to get rid of acne scars or hyperpigmentation. It's a very hydrating product and has become my go-to product for these skin concerns. I found it to be quite effective, and it did not dry out my skin like other retinol products. So if you are looking to maintain a healthy skin barrier and get rid of your acne scars, this product is what you need. 

Salicylic Acid & Sea Kelp Pore Clearing and Oil Control Serum

Coming to the Salicylic Acid & Sea Kelp Pore Clearing and Oil Control Serum - as someone with oily skin, I personally did not like this product as it felt a little greasy when I used it and did not seem to do much for me. However, it has many great ingredients like Propanediol, Niacinamide, Salicylic acid, and Succinic acid, which are great for reducing acne and hydrating skin. So, if you have normal, sensitive, or acne-prone skin, you will likely enjoy using this product more.

Mandelic Acid & Rice Bran Gentle Exfoliating Serum

Finally, the Mandelic Acid & Rice Bran Gentle Exfoliating Serum is a gentle exfoliating serum that gives the skin a nice glow. However, this product initially gave me some bumps on my face, but after my second week of using it, my skin became smooth. Plus, I do think the packaging could be improved as it was hard to get the product out. Overall, it's a great option for anyone looking for a gentle exfoliating serum.

Overall, the Selfless by Hyram skincare line is a great option for those looking for affordable, effective, and sustainable skincare products. While some products may not work for everyone, there is something for everyone in the line.
